Benton Harbor Michigan | Consulting with Cornerstone Architects
This abandoned building near the heart of Benton Harbor had been neglected for years. The client was looking ahead at the work that Whirlpool was doing down the street and realized that there eventually could be a market for loft apartment space. While consulting with Cornerstone Architects on other projects I was given the task of doing a variety of design studies on the apartment interiors - focusing on the bathroom, kitchen and living spaces. Due to the additions to the building over time each apartment was a bit unique, but we were able to develop a concept that worked for each unit - with a few modifications throughout the project. After approval on the concepts I was also developed and detailed each of the interior units of 13 apartments within the building.
